VISION A German film directed by Margarethe von trotta,a woman who is considered to be the face of new German cinema tells her film as “the impossible quest for female identity, both barred by and founded upon the interdependence of women”. it is the story of Hildegard von bingen who is a visionary nun. She is an all rounder; a doctor ,a musician ,a poet, a writer and what not. She brought a new dimension to devotion and this was protested by male dominated society. Her visions brought out Europe from its darkness to enlightenment in every aspect.
