These theme is depicted in adama and his sister aichas life. This filim touches on the social issues of drug, prostitution, corruption, brain drain etc. Adamas abandoned his family especially his deaf and dumpb sister aicha. This will lead to aicha in the sex racket. He didn't care aicha. He is a successful scientist, he had reached home through an anonimous letter saying grandmother was ill. but he is not interested to stay in Senegal and he wants to return to France. Adama's teacher got angry because he return to France. His teacher says you are born and raised in Senegal, so that you should work for our country . This is the best eg of brain drain.
